This section explains the data we process inside the Huahua app, separate from product purchases on the website.

• Anonymous account: you can start learning right away without registering. The app automatically creates an anonymous account, with no name, no email, and no phone number.
• Device identifier: we store one random installation ID on your device to preserve your learning progress. This ID cannot be used to identify you personally.
• Voice recordings: when you practice Speaking, the app records your voice and sends it to the pronunciation assessment system so you can receive a score. Recordings are stored in our private storage and are only used to assess and display your practice results.
• Answers and learning progress: your practice answers, scores, streaks, and material progress are saved so they can be continued.
• AI conversation text: messages you type or speak during Roleplay and when asking Hua Hua are processed to generate responses.
• Technical data: basic device information such as model, operating system version, app version, and language, as well as error reports and basic usage statistics to fix bugs and improve performance.

We use the following providers, and only send the minimum data necessary for features to work:

• Pronunciation assessment (Chivox): receives Speaking practice voice recordings and returns a pronunciation score.
• Conversational AI providers (OpenAI, DeepSeek): receive Roleplay conversation text and questions to Hua Hua to generate responses.
• AI voice (Inworld): receives text that needs to be spoken to generate Hua Hua's voice audio.
• Storage and authentication (Supabase) and server hosting: store anonymous accounts, learning progress, and practice recordings.

We do not sell your data, do not share it for advertising, and do not display ads in the app.

All data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Voice recordings and learning progress are stored while your account is active, and are deleted when you delete your account. This app is intended for teen and adult learners, not for children under 13 years old, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.
